The Electoral Committee facilitates the process of nominating candidates for office, establishes and enforces campaign rules, and organizes elections. All voting members in good standing are eligible to vote and hold office.
The Electoral Committee is disorganized for most of the year, only becoming organized by the executive board in March when the election process begins. The chairperson is ineligible to run for office. The committee also includes several other members who are considered neutral parties, or at least are known for impartiality. To join the Electoral Committee once it is formed, contact the chairperson.
Elections are held in person, in the office. There is no method for online voting, though there is a process for absentee voting which may in the future be extended to email communication.
